to be honest. ..im totally over the hassle of breastfeeding. pumping and formula...feel like pumping is time consuming!…

If you formula feed, you don't have to feed as often because it has more of something... I'm not sure what it is, but it's more of something. The only reason breastfeeding is ''better'' is because of the antibodies that you have, it passes them to baby. But, honestly, formula feeding is cheaper in my opinion.... it's not as time consuming, and it's cheaper in a sense you don't have to go out and make sure you eat healthy, and sound an assload of money on healthy food, because you can eat whatever you want and it won't affect baby. it will still get the nutrients it needs from formula, the antibodies are the only reason breastfeeding is recommended.

That's what I was told by my doctor anyhow.

bf is most definitely cheaper lol formula is damn expensive. why are you pumping and supplementing? did the Dr say ur baby needs to be supplemented?

I pumped for a while but like you said it was so time consuming. Bradley wouldn't take the boob so I eventually stopped and formula fed. which I hate formula and wish he would have taken the boob lol

@delilahsmommy2.22, yes i was supplementing already w formula bc he had jaundice. .so i was trying to.stop just do breast milk and pump to stock up...but now they said he isnt gaining weight well only 3oz in a week so supplementing again....just seems formula would be easier and @rachelmariecroxton i think bf is cheaper its free.really but i do have wic so i could get formula. @blessedmommy im ok with formula i guess. just seems difficult to do what i wanna do. i cant get anything . accomplished lately.

wic won't give you enough formula, so You'd still have to buy formula. and I guess it depends on how you think about it... breast feeding is free, but you have to make sure you eat right to do it from what I was told. and eating healthy is expensive. it's more expensive then formula... so, idunno. I'd rather spend all my money on formula and pizza rolls lol

dont give up on nursing/pumping.i mean its ultimately your choice but my son only gained 5oz in two weeks and his dr said hes doing good.I dont have to supplement with formula or anything.he had jaundice too. just give him bottles with your breastmilk if you dont think hes getting enough at your boob. that's what I had to do.

also I just eat how I always have which isnt technically healthy but baby is still getting what he needs. :)

I completely understand. since I got mastitis I have to pump more often. I swear im pumping more than im not. lol.

@may24th, yeah i seen that on one of your posts 😯 i actuaoly had to look it up bc ive been having pain on and off in one of my boobs on the side. But i dont think thats it. hows that coming? pumping help it go away?

just keep an eye on that pain. and if it gets hard in one place and hot to touch and red call your dr. and its good I finished my antibiotics this morning so it should be gone. hopefully it doesnt come back. and pumping definitely helps! it keeps from clogged milk ducts which will cause mastitis.

My son was born premature at 34weeks only had 4lb 13oz.Now ar 2 1/2months he is 11lb. I breasfed him since my milk came in a lil after he was released a week after birth.
