Should I get my nails done tomorrow for my baby shower this Saturday? If I do it'll be an Acrylic…

I would personally get gel! It lasts a while and is safer for baby. (Acrylics have bad fumes unless well ventilated) and that way you don't have to get them taken off!

It's like normal nail polish that reacts under UV light and lasts 2-4 weeks without chipping. Ask your nail salon about it! It's super popular here in Utah.

@ksmith814, @mariceladez 😊 and after getting gel a few times, your natural nail becomes so much healthier and grows way faster. I haven't had anything but gel for the last three years, and I go every other week to get them repainted. Cheaper &&&& healthier 💗

Personally I love my acrylics 😍 tried going gel as well and I couldn't 😏 it's pretty much nail polish that lasts longer then reg nail polish.. Personally I love acrylics

It's cheaper than acrylics but like $5-$10 more than normal manicures around here for gel.

@mariceladez, it's cheaper than acrylics for sure. @ksmith814 is right. However, if you're a fan of that "French mani" look, then I'd stay just stick with the acrylics. Gel doesn't really give you that look.

Your nail tech is probably not taking them off right ... They are suppose to soak off and look as good as your reg nails with a mani.. I'm guessing they normally rip them off you or drill them off huh? It cost like a mani to get them soak off and all but your nails look just as good as when you put them on (: but longer of course

I think they can do it with gel you should do that then since your gonna take off the acrylic before your baby.. I've always worked with my little cousins and baby cousins and around the house with nails so I'll be leaving mine on when the bby is here ☺️

Yes u should do gel. I've been doing it for so long and I love it. Way better than acrylics and nails grow. Mines have gotten so long during pregnancy.

My nails are super healthy and strong and grow very fast since becoming pregnant so I hate to do anything to them but want nice nails at my shower.
