doc said he isnt gaining the weight she wants...he weighed 7lbs 15oz a week ago now he weighs 8lbs…

I thought they were suppose to gain 4-5 oz a week.

same thing happened to me dont completely stop breastfeeding like i did though give him the formula then try to nurse him afterwards I wish I had done that but thats what they told me when I went to the wic office.

@charisma_shay, yeah she said breastfeed for 20 min then formula. .or i also have stored breastmilk

your welcome I only remember cause his Dr would freak cause my son barely gained weight the first 2 months so I know how you are feeling breast fed babies are a little slower on gaining weight opposed to formula fed babies. hopefully u can get back to strictly breastfeeding ur little one instead of both its frustrating

that doesnt make sense. my son weighed 7lbs 12ounces and the next week weighed 8lbs 1oz and my dr said he was doing good. -.- but I guess each dr is different. do what you think is best mama!

thats bc they should gain 1oz a day so your lil man pretty much did. mine only gained 3oz in a week.
