I sent you a whole bunch of info. You should at least check it out before doing it on your own.

I called one, and she said I still need a midwife to be there. she wants to help but I need a midwife to still assist -,- I'm giving up. I'll end up doing it with just me and my bf IDC as long as baby is healthy and I'm not pumped with unneeded drugs @trezelle

I know @trezelle every time I ask they say there's no midwives here that would do that. so I'm like fuck it, I'm healthy and as long as it stays that way.. I'll go to all of my check ups, make them more frequent as I get close to my due date to ensure everything is fine. then when the time comes, I'll take it from there. I'll gather all my info from the internet, books and my own midwife. might even speak to more than one for different prospectives. I'm almost 25 weeks. I wanna get my birth plan in order. you know?

@mommyof02, You and your husband or s/O can learn everything you need to do for an at home birth. My fiances cousin had all 7of her kids at home. Some they did with just the 2 of them. (her and her husband) If you want to talk to someone who's done it all I can give you her Facebook information.

It's kind of "hush hush" but there are a lot of women who have unassisted home births. You'd have to be very confident in knowing when to transfer and have support from your partner.

IDC about the $$, we have plenty to take care of whatever. its just the midwives in my are turning down my request and idk why @azmommy85 . like I have no health issues at all, and thats the only reasonable reason I can think of as to why they would say no lol

Try to look up Doulas too. I'm sure some can do payment arrangements if they don't except insurance. Good luck hun! I hope you get to have your water birth at home ☺

There has to be companies that see you sooner. Look around, read reviews. Most insurances cover home births so find out.

yes I know! but in this city they don't assist at home births. I see a midwife every 3 weeks instead of a Dr. but any who, I just wanna experience sitting in the water and doing it naturally the way nature intended you know? but nope, they want $$ so I'm having a hard time. Google midwives in your area, that's how I got all the info I needed. Call around and set up consults. Ask a lot of questions, make sure to ask about insurance and fees etc. Ask them what insurance they accept then apply for that insurance under Medicaid.

You can get a midwife to assist home births! I'm planning on having one. I'm in the process of changing to a midwife! Anything you wanna know just ask. Btw Medicaid covers almost if not all the fee for home birth and it's cheaper.

Oh I know what they're called!! It just sounds weird calling someone a professional at giving birth haha weird profession when you think about it. But your post makes more sense now, like I said I haven't read much about midwives and home births(I see a regular obgyn) but I'm sure it would be a ridiculous amount of money

I haven't read much about home births but I would NOT try it on your own.... Definitely get a midwife to supervise the birth. Even tho you've given birth before I strongly advise a "professional" to be there, now it sounds weird to have someone be a professional in giving birth that's why I put the quotation marks lol
