How do you ladies feel about the child harness or leash as some ppl call it. One was bought for me…

I think it's helpful. my two year old is a runner so it comes in handy in traffic or heavily populated areas.

I personally don't like the idea.

I don't care what others say around me I use them, I have 6kids (#7 on the way ) my last 2 are 1+2yrs old so there helpful to me. I Don't pull them around on it I let them lead in front.. if they were child abuse they wouldn't make them and sell them. But some people can very easily abuse the situation by yanking on them miss treating the child and thats not right.

i hate them just teach your kids to listen

I used it and will continue to when this one is old enough. Kids try to run off and I'd rather be safe than sorry

my 3yo drifts off now & again. its not about teaching them to listen.. toddlers are bound to explore their limits. I love the idea. it doesn't hurt them or anybody else. me being pregnant and having to chase him when my bf isn't around... I wish I had one! cuz I'll be damned if I gotta yell at him to come back Lol

Wtf children aren't pets 😫. That's an insult . Children are taught not trained .

well i guess some people aren't "strict enough" when teaching their kids.

a bunch of people i know have 6 or more kids ask close in age and still manage to control their... it's just a way for parents to be lazy...

i will not be using one for my daughter or any future kids, i think they should be illegal...

It's not used as a training device (well I don't). But if I'm in a crowded mall, carnival or anywhere that's crowded while she's walking and with my 3yo I use it. You're not supposed to tug on it like they're a dog but I find it helpful. My husband hates it but oh well.

Not understanding how using a harness is treating your child like a pet or it means they don't listen?? But to each its own

I think it's HILARIOUS. 🙋mom of an extremely active boy here.lol. In all seriousness I wouldn't have my son on a leash but I think they're funny. I would have laughed if I had gotten it as a present for him. I'd rather see a kid on a leash than an extreme distance away from mom and dad (which I HAVE seen).

exactly it isn't for training. it's safety. and every mother has different opinions. you shouldn't put down those of us who choose to use it.

I as well won't be using it but I think in my honest opinion that it works for some parents it's just not my thing but I don't necessarily say it's lazy because everyone does what's best for them so I wouldnt say it's lazy or anything like that

well it's a touchy subject. I am by no means "a lazy mom" I have a child who likes to run away from me. I discipline my child but discipline only goes so far. I DO NOT treat my child like a pet. in fact she likes HER SAFETY HARNESS. we call it her hugger. I get the comfort of knowing she can't go very far and she gets her independence. if other moms don't like the product, fine. but don't put me down for using it.

And I totally agree with you @mamachaos I didn't realize this topic was touchy for some ladies and didn't expect it to go as far as ppl saying it's lazy or whatever but if it works for you and your baby like it continue on using it don't let others make you feel bad for a choice you made that they May not understand 😊😊😊
