As you know, you Philippians were the only ones who gave me financial help when I first brought you the Good News and then traveled on from Macedonia. No other church did this. (NLT) ( Philippians 4:15 )
Paul became a great missionary for spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ. He relied on God to provide for his needs. God used the Philippians to support Paul while he sacrificed much. Do you know someone who is sacrificing in order to spread the gospel? We can support them in ways few others will with our finances, prayers, and care packages. These few efforts on our behalf help spread the Kingdom of God to many. God accepts our support as a sweet-smelling sacrifice which is pleasing to Him.
