i know a few that went over 40 weeks... Two got induced and one of them had a c section, but only because her first baby was a csection

Everybody just had my hopes up saying "girl you ain't gonna make it to her due date!" Here I am only 8 days away from her due date and nothing...I know she can still decide to come between here and there but still just doesn't feel like it :( @mssjudyk

Walking Helps You Dilate, I Would Also Do Squats. And I Don't Mean To Be So Blunt But If You Can Just Have A lot Of Intercourse They Say Seman Soften Up Your Cervix!!! Hope This Helps And Goodluck To Your Growing Family!!!!!

I agree with @vvaldez about the squats and sex, your circulation improves giving your blood more oxygen. Relaxing your muscles and helping you dilate... you can also strip your membranes, (I'd suggest you google what it means if you don't know, google explains it better lol)

I'm only a fingertip dilated. .. I feel your pain... I almost cried in the doctors office yesterday

The night my friend have birth she ha a doc appointment THAT day and he said she was no where close and scheduled and appointment for the next week she went into labor that night and delivered.

I just mean anything possible just cause you aren't progressing now doesn't mean anything I was 3 cm dilated for over a month and 75-80% effaced for a MONTH! Before labor even started so it really means nothing even if you were dilating now cause it only really "counts" towards something is you're IN labor. Some say dilating sooner makes labor go faster but I was still in labor for 4 days before delivering.

I was at a two forever.... then even after two days of laboring at home I was still a 2 fri morning at my doctors appointment.... by sat morning I was in active labor and when I got to the hospital I was 5 cm and delivered by 5:45pm. it can happen so fast. don't worry hun it could happen at any time!
