@kera96 first contact your actual insurance company. Customer service department. Ask them if they cover completely, is there a co pay, and for a list of places to contact in order to receive one. Then call those supply places and talk to their customer service/sales department, they should I through the process to set up an order for you regarding one. You can get a prescription from your doctor or they will contact the doctor themselves, an obtain a script for it because that's what's required for insurance to pay for it. After they receive that they will contact you to complete your order and most likely give you a list of options of which kind they offer. I received a Medela double electric pump. They offered two others but I know Medela is a very promising brand so that's what I choose. And the order is submitted they collect payment on copay or shipping then (mine was completely free of charge even shipping was free) and within 7-10 days it will be delivered to you. It's amazing they cover them now I was so excited!! Haha I had a hand pump with my 2 older ones because i could not afford to pay for a double electric one. It was horrible and was the reason I stopped pumping for my children (they both had latching issues due to being introduced by the hospital at birth to a bottle of formula and pacifiers! I was so damn angry!!) and this time I'm looking forward to nursing and pumping to help my supply, collect milk for when I go back to work part time, and for my daughters father, her big brothers, and other family eventually to get to bond while feeding her as well.
@kera96, doctor can't really do much for you concerning it because every insurance is different and it's not the doctor who gives it to you or the hospital it's a medical supplier and paid for by insurance company. So just follow the steps I wrote above and it will be on its way to you :)

The day after I had her a case workers came in and try got ahold of my Insurence and it came in 3 hours later but every hospital is different
