ugh soo mad Rant!!: Just returned from the car dealership to find out my husband has bad credit, but get this my husband should have nothing on his records. well as it turns out his dad (who has the same name) used his sons credit for his hospital bills and defaulted on them and are now in collections.... how the heck do we fix this?? im so mad!

Easy fix!!! Google Credit letter of dispute and look for a sample letter. In the letter write to all 3 credit bureaus. In the letter provide all information on the credit report that is fraudulent, to include account #'s, and why it is fraudulent. Per the law they have 30 days to investigate and clear them off your report. This happened to me when I was 18 and going to buy my first car. A relative also used my name for credit cards while I was under age. I wrote the letters and got confirmation from all credit bureaus that I was cleared within a month.
