Mommies, do I have to go to the Labor&Delivery; department of the hospital I will be delivering in…

depends how far you are?

At the hospital you have to go to the ER if your 20 weeks or less. If you are farther than 20 weeks you go to the labor and delivery department. labor and delivery will not see you before then, unfortunately.

30 weeks, I meant the Labor&Delivery; department of another hospital other than the one my doctor delivers at.. or will they just send me to that hospital anyway? I'm tired of them not doing anything about this

I also kind want to know. I'm pretty sure if you go to another hospital they will still see you in l&d as long as they have a l&d a few hospitals near me do not do babies

any ER will see you and since your 30 weeks you will go straight to L&D doesn't matter if your doctor is there or not. if you feel that your hospital isn't taking anything seriously then I'd definitely go to a different hospital to make sure everything is okay

@lifedreams, my blood pressure has been insane for the past month or so the medicine I take to manage it isn't working anymore.

I've been getting dizzy & nauseous and seeing spots, Labor&Delivery; took a urine sample a few days ago which showed only traces of protein, they never drew blood to check for anything else..These past two days it hasn't dropped below 140 / 90 and I know if I go to my hospital they'll just lay me on my left side until it goes down and send me home

Go to a different hospital hun and completely explain the situation. Have you talked to your doctor about this?

yes. I'd definitely go to another hospital,high blood pressure is not something to mess around with!

@r_oo, if they act like that a lot I'd he scared to have my baby there!
