Any mommies with group b strep? Is pretty much the only difference for us going to be that we get antibiotics in an iv during labor?

Thanks everyone!! @awn0710 it is a type of bacteria that is really common to have in your vagina. About one in three pregnant women test positive for strep b. You're tested around week 35 and although it's harmless to adults, it may be harmful to your baby passing through the birth canal so your doctor will make sure to test you so when you go into labor they know to put you on antibiotics so your baby is protected

yep I was positive for it my first pregnancy, but not with this one. its just an iv so make sure you get to hospital a little earlier than normal so it has time to kick in and all that jazz.

Me too just make sure they put it on a slow drip so it won't sting! 😉
