any ideas on how to explain to a 4 almost 5 year old that yes his dad and my baby is his sister but…

my bf has 2 kids they are not mine. when the 4 year old and his mom do stuff he wants to bring his sister which I'm pregnant with. I just want to try to explain that yes she's his sister but not related to his mom @trezelle sorry it's hard to write

well if you arent his mother but his step mother you should explain that more then anything else so then he may get a more better understanding. let him know mommy gave birth to you not me. im your sisters mommy that im giving birth to....

I'm having a hard time wanting to explain that my stepson has a different mom to my daughter. He calls me mom and is at our house all the time. This past week my 3 yo asked where her brother was and I said his mom she laughed and said noooo he's not upstairs 😳. So the next time she ask I'm just going to say he's not home.... I'll wait until she's a bit older to explain because I don't know how right now.

Ohh ok gotcha. Maybe explain to him that his sister isn't here yet but when she comes maybe she can come along. You don't have to explain the he isn't your biological child. He is still a kid.

@trezelle, you've misunderstood she'll be here any day he is I guess my step son but I don't look at it that way yet. when him and his mom go do stuff he wants to be able to bring her with them because he knows it's his sister he just doesn't get that she's not going to be related to him mom. and no she will never go with them his mom is not nice lol maybe that helps. it's cute he already want to include her bit a pain cuz I don't want to crush him his mom does that enough

@ayjeffries, yes I hear ya basically the same thing. when he's with us it's adorable he already wants to include her which we try just hard she's not here yet but he keeps saying stuff about her to his mom and just causing a headache all around. like I love that he's all for his sister but I need to explain the half sister part but I don't want to confuse him were already worried that she's gonna tell him it's not really his sister when she is
