I'm not so sure on your first question but for the second question yes, unless you have a high risk pregnancy. most women get one at the beginning then an anatomy scan close to 20 weeks and then another one right before birth to check weight and height etc.. you can thank cheap insurance companies for this lol!

I know crl is crown rump length. I'd guess the thing underneath is the yolk sac, that's just a guess though.

And with a low risk pregnancy, one dating ultrasound and the anatomy scan at 20 weeks is normal.

I miss seeing my little smudge. it didn't even resemble a baby so I feel like the 20 week scan is going to go horribly wrong or be scary. I fear the worst.

@audranb87, don't think like that! Your baby will be so big looking and beautiful :) it's an amazing change in those few weeks!

I can't wait!!!! 12 more days! I just want to see my baby and make sure it has a brain and legs and arms and functions normally. ugh I worry so much that it will have a problem.
