How long did it take for you to start labor after your mucus plug fell out?.

Mine fell out on my due date April 25 I started getting contractions the next morning at 12am it lasted until I gave birth April 27th it's different for others tho

about a week. but your mucus plug can regrow itself once it falls out. what's important is your "bloody show". I was already in labor when that happened to me though.(-:

I'm not totally sure on the difference honestly. all I was told when I was pregnant was, the mucus plus can fall out and regrow itself... but when it comes out with blood or its tinged pink that means labor is near. usually happens within hours to about 72 hours. not sure why! good question!

labor started 4 weeks after. I believe the difference is the mucus plug is just a seal for the cervix to keep bacteria and stuff from entering. I believe your bloody show is mucous that comes right out of the cervix of course you to start dilating for that to happen. I got my bloody show and started contractions just a few hours later. my water broke the next morning.
