On April 30th 2014 I found out I was pregnant with my first child. On May 12th I took myself to the ER to find the Dr and anesthesiologist taking me to the OR for emergency surgery due to internal bleeding caused by an ectopic pregnancy. I remember that day like it was yesterday. It has physically and mentally scarred me for probably forever. My first ever surgery was done due to a life or death situation. If Oakley and my family didn't push me to go I probably would have waited longer than I did and I wouldn't be here today. Don't ever ignore bleeding or cramping during pregnancy and don't listen to people that say 'its normal'. It never hurts to go get checked cause you never know what's going on inside. Ectopics are only about 2% of pregnancies and should not be taken lightly! Only about 33% of women have a normal pregnancy afterwards. I'm in that lucky 33% and I am beyond thankful to have my precious healthy babygirl with me today!
