Anyone have experience with kids with ADHD? my son will be 9 in July and has severe ADHD and ODD, so…

I teach kindergarten but have had children with ADHD expecting to be an older sibling, and it is a hard transition for most. The best thing to do is to have visuals on hand about what is expected to happen so there are fewer surprises!

@tracynangel, thank you! I plan on bringing him to the 20 week scan for the gender so he feels involved and can see what is going on, so far he has seen some ultrasound pictures but doesnt quite understand yet

get him involved and excited about the baby take him to doctors appointments especially ultrasounds my doctor does one at every visit so it helps my Son is 9 has adhd and I also take my 4 year old. I take them along to buy the baby stuff and let them choose something for her. and when u have the baby make sure when he comes in to see u ur not holding the baby have ur hubby or mom hold the baby. let him see ur putting ur attention on him when he gets there. and have a little gift maybe something his wanted or likes in the room when u deliver as a gift from the baby to him my son loved it. my son does well with my 4 year old now and there excited to meet there sister. read to him and have him help you and tell him you all are reading to the baby. it helped me alot I hope it will too u as well
