Went to visit my friend and her baby in the nicu, her baby happened to be staying in Emmas old room and she was talking about how hard it is to be there for a few days and I just started crying...she doesn't realize how lucky she is that she got to spend time with her baby after his birth and have alone time with him and nurse him or hold him right away..or that he has only one challenge and will only be there a week tops...I know it's hard seeing your baby in there but I think I was just the wrong person to vent to about it since my daughter. Was in there for 34 days just 2 months ago and I couldn't see her for over 24 hours after I had her and I continuously had to leave the hospital without her while watching other mommies take their newborns home..I think It was just too soon to have someone complain about a short nicu stay with a fairly healthy baby..and I know I'm blessed and lucky too. Some babies are in there much longer and some never come home...it was just very overwhelming to hsve that happen in my daughters old nicu room..is it wrong to be kinda upset over that?
