1. I have been together with my husband for almost 11 years...Married for almost 8.

2. although we were already engaged and planning a wedding, he wanted to join the Navy so we married before he left at city hall...I wouldn't change a thing because what's important to us is our marriage.

3. during his time in the Navy is went on 2 9 to 10 month deployments in less than 2 years plus all the training weeks he was gone. we fought a lot in the beginning of our relationship but time away from each other made us appreciate one another more and have made us stronger...we now don't argue about little stuff because it doesn't matter...he is by far my best friend.

4. I am 31 about to be 32 and I am a ftm...we tried for over 6 years with 1 miscarriage before we got our miracle

5. he was on deployment during the miscarrage and my family lived in a different state...I had to go through it alone.

6. my husband left the Navy a year ago and we decided we loved washington state so we stayed.

7.the week we closed on our home is when I found out I was pregnant. even though she was planned it was a surprise...all I could do was run to my husband and show him the test and cry.

8. Charlotte is named after my husband's late grandfather who's middle name is Charles

9. I love being a mom...it still feels like a dream.

10. I was high risk with diabetes and high blood pressure but with very strong will power I kept my sugars in check and my drs were surprised at how good they were including my baby was less then 7 pounds when born. I also had no pregnancy symptoms just the last few weeks were getting hard to do anything.
