heard back from corporate regarding my concerns. -.- in order to take my maternity leave I have to contact this company and see IF I qualify. hold up! I'll be damned if I don't qualify! I am in pain mostly and I'm going to deliver a child! please! let's see you experience the same and tell you if you do or do not qualify for a maternity leave -.- the whole thing about the boss who yells about rewards sign ups. they told me to contact the ER specialist in my area. excuse me! what the fuck is that and who is that!? lastly they said for me to get a note from my doctor allowing me to sit down at work. now I've gotta wait until the 13th -.- this just makes me mad!!

I'm pretty sure you qualify if you've been there for more than 90days. At Marshalls we have to ask the manager to print of a Leave of Absence Forms and the doctor fills them out. and it's more likely the regional manager they want you to contact.

@kelseys thankfully I just hit my 90days mark! and that's a good idea on the note because if I have to stand my whole shift tomorrow I'll be crying

yea because my manager said I would have to quit because I don't qualify, and when I call corporate they looked up my information and told me I do because I've been there waaaaaay over the 90day period.

at my job you have work there for a year and you had to work a certain amount of hours in order to be approved

call your doctor & just ask if he/she will write a note that you can pick up to allow you to sit while working. also go through corporate for info on maternity leave they'll know more.

I work for a corporate environment, and in order to qualify for any sort of extended leave, you must be there for a year. I will just meet my year when I am due.

@blessedmommy I work at OfficeMax. @parkers_mommy yes they gave me a number and extension number to contact the company about my maternity leave

@14emathews, then just call & ask what the qualifications are. that way you have time to save or figure it out if you don't qualify. but I do know that some jobs will tell you, you need to meet a certain things like time there & even full time/part time could play a factor.

to qualify for FMLA, you have to work for a year or more, which is what everyone else is talking about. but your entitled to the same rights as every other employee, it's just called a request leave of absence, with no pay.
