If it doesn't hurt you, it definitely doesn't hurt baby. Lots of cushion. If it does hurt you, chances are baby still probably wouldn't feel it. If you are in pain deep down, more than an exterior bruise, I would worry. But there is a lot more cushion there between outside and baby than we like to think :) baby's pretty protected.

@kmrie, same here. I am too. But my mom had four kids and my MIL has been an OB for over thirty years so I've asked them everything imaginable already lol. I worry like crazy. :)

I literally close my stomach in doors and hit it on everything. I bruised My belly the other day by hitting it with the car door but the Dr says she's fine.
