so my baby is 4 months and at her appointment her doctor gave me the go ahead to start baby food and…

i dont mix hers with formula i make it in a bowl with water and add a friut type baby food for flavor ...my baby only gets a few bottles a day now

my sister makes a bottle of formula and a little bowl of the cereal and feeds the cereal an uses the formula as like a drink to wash it down.

i was hoping you would comment lol. yeah thats what i did i just mixed a little bit in a bowl and made it pretty thin. what baby foods do you get? so far i only got apples and bananas and one other one i cant remember. but i havent started them yet just the cereal cause i dont wanna do it all too fast. @babygirl10-11

ohhh that makes sense to do. @kacey i fed her a little bit of the cereal(i made it thin) and then i gave her a bottle afterwards but i could try both at the same time.

with my son I always used his formula....I would make a bottle first then pour the milk into the bowl to make the cereal and then after give him the reminder of the bottle. That's how my mother taught me.

oh ok. i had never heard of it being made that way @jackee856 until i saw it on the container. i have heard of some mothers like putting the cereal in their babies bottle(i would personally never do it) but idk its all a new and learning experience.

i started with oatmeal and veggies but i only did one flavor a week just in case she was allergic to it i would know which one but once we got most of the basic flavors down i gave her everything shes on fruits veggies and they now make the lil jars of friut already mixed with the oatmeal ... and after i feed her i give her a cup of juice

Yea that's the way I learned. My son always enjoyed it...lol I guess it helped him get use to it too. @juliagail09 I would also add fruit to it after he got used to eating the cereal first.

oh ok good too know. so should i start with the veggies before the fruits or does it not really matter? @babygirl10-11

i dont think it really matters i was just thinking like once she tastes that sweet stuff she wouldnt want the veggies ... she used to like the veggies but once i gave her butt table food she stopped eating the veggies lol

yea she wont eat dem veggies but she will eat real veggies i will give her a green bean and she will chew on it
