That isn't good for the baby. A babys digestive tract can't handle that yet since things are still developing after birth even. that's why they say no solids till 6 months at least

the cereal might be the trick. and I've been giving my daughter solids since 3 months and she is really healthy with no problems @rlcorreia123

the baby might be a little over weight. My daughter is 8 1/2 months and she is at about 17 lbs. But my daughter is in the 40th percentile. she's a little smaller than the baby girls in her age group.

and also boys are known to be bugger than girls. my daughter is 8 1/5 months and my nephew is 5 1/5 no this and he's bigger than my daughter

my daughter is strictly formula too. if the doctors aren't concerned about then the baby is okay. my cousin is one year old and he was a big infant and now at 1 he's the size of 3 year old but the doctors aren't concerned.

Just because one baby can handle something fine, doesn't mean another baby can. I personally prefer to not take any risks with my children.

It could be rich Breastmilk. I strictly nursed my first three for a year and they were all 38lbs at a year old. I had a lot of organic dairy in my diet.

That's true @iloveni0820 but if the baby is overweight what can she really do? If the baby is still hungry she have to feed him, right smh that's going to be hard, I think!

I know sometimes breast fed babies can pack on weight expecially if their mothers diet leans more towards fatty foods, fried foods, and sugary foods.

yeah that's true can't starve him ! but as the baby starts walking and becoming active they should lose some weight.

yeah, they do slim down and even out some when they start crawling and walking

lol well of course not right now. Hopefully he turns out. to be okay ! I mean he has is whole life ahead of him but if his mom over feeds him as a toddler and past that there can be some serious problems!

I'm a pretty good (no fry or fast food) & I breastfeed exclusively. My baby was born at 8lb & he pretty much gain a pound a week. He's bout to be 6weeks & he's 12lb. I was concern that I was over feeding him but the dr. Told me he was fine. I guess I just have a big baby. He's dad was born at 10lb & his mom said he gain weight like crazy & he's 6"5 now with a build body. I'm guessing he has his dad genes.

I had my son at 9lbs and almost 23 inches. at 8 weeks he was 17 pounds lol. I too was concerned, but doctors weren't st all! he's now 5, 48 pounds and 44 inches tall!!! 😍

Girl his dad is only 5'6 and not heavy at all however the mother is overweight. I think is the way she eat and also she's breastfeeding,formula,cereal, and other thing (I'm not sure).
