Just tell them it's illegal for them to fire you

My last pregnancy they laid me off at my job while I was on leave... I don't want to be fired again only way I'm supporting my son and I right now

I would wait until you're in your second trimester before you told your boss

I didn't tell my boss, but everyone knew by 13 weeks because I was definitely showing. (That's with my son). I don't have a job right now but I don't know what I'll do if someone asks me if I'm pregnant. Technically they can't discriminate against you, but my friend was a month away from giving birth when she had an interview somewhere and they told her they couldn't hire her. But 12 or so weeks seems like a good time to tell your boss && if you work at a baby themed store it should be totally fine anyway!

@kimberlyyyy, I know I feel it should be as well but I'm going thru a divorce and all while pregnant and boss knows I'm having a hard time but she doesn't know there's a baby on top of my son in the mix (knows about my son) not the baby. And I'm just scared

Hopefully if your boss has a heart she'll know you need this job. I don't see why she wouldn't keep you there, who else is better qualified to work at a baby themed store than a parent? As long as you're not getting sick every hour on the clock and you don't have excessive doctor appointments I don't think she can tell you that she's firing you just because you're pregnant. Seriously, I worked with all guys, everyone knew I slept with a coworker && my boss didn't fire me and I had only been there for 9 months at that time.

Sorry about going through a divorce. I'm sure things will be fine regarding your job. Don't stress yourself out over it. I'm pretty sure she'll understand.
