I'm thinking of surprising my husband with a two-three day trip to San Francisco for a short babymoon/early bday present for him. (Baby is due so close to his actual bday, I don't want to chance it.) We just moved to the Northern California area, and haven't explored this part of the county yet. Can anyone recommend fun things to do in San Francisco? We are a spa/food/relaxation kind of couple. I'm also open to the Lake Tahoe area. Any ideas?

I would say come to Tahoe!!!!! Duh! Since I live here, but I hear people can go into early labor from the altitude change (we're at 6200 feet). I'm sure San Fran would be nice, but maybe you could save a trip to the bay for after you have the little one & wind up in Napa for some wine on your first outing without the little one?

@kimberlyyyy, I will actually be in Tahoe this month for the first time with my in-laws! I can't wait - it looks beautiful! . If I can't find anything to do in San Francisco for one or two days, then we may just wait. Who knows! Haha. And I'll take your advice! After next weekend - no Tahoe until she arrives! Haha. That's crazy about the altitude change!

@jennatess, went the aquarium and the beach, and we ate somewhere that was a deck out on the ocean. it was a pretty pricy mean but it was so so good! I had shrimp and crab stuffed fish

@nathaneals_mommy, the aquarium sounds fun! We are traveling sort of people, and we haven't been to Monterey yet, so maybe we will try there! Thanks for the recommendation! That place totally slipped my mind. Plus, I bet they have more spas there than in San Francisco. I loveeeee spas! Haha.

the aquarium seemed a lot cooler when I was 12 but it was still so beautiful, and its right there on a main street with a lot of shops and the restaurant we went to was right there to andddd your 5 min away from the beach!

The Monterey Bay Aquarium is awesome!!!! @jennatess I thought you were farther along so don't worry about coming up here within the next few weeks. Your doctor might say not to travel into high country for your last 5 or so weeks.
