Just telling our story and hoping for prayers.

I know it's long but it'd mean a lot if you read it.

I have a little sister who is 9. She's an amazing girl. Sometimes I swear she's got more wisdom in her than anyone else I've ever met adult or otherwise. She does local cheer leading. She loves going to school. And my family and I love her so much.

But she is sick. You could never tell by looking at her. In my sisters 9 years of life she has dealt with serious illness. She has sickle cell and needs blood transfusions regularly. She has chronic migraines that blind her for 2 days at a time. And she has a disorder [her doctors are not sure what yet though they think it's something to do with seizures or strokes] that causes her to randomly become paralyzed. My sister is terminal. We were told because of all these things my sister would not survive to see 6.

As she made it to 6 we were grateful. When she hit 7 we were amazed. At 8 we considered it a miracle. And at 9 we knew how blessed we were to have her.

But she's sick again. During routine tests at her doctors they found a mass on her heart. Farther tests show they are also on her lungs. Today she had surgery to remove the one from her heart. She is still unconscious in the PICU.

We do not know what these masses came from. They grew very quickly. Naturally our fear is cancer. Her tiny body would be incapable of fighting that off. We are still waiting for the results to see if they are cancerous tumors but please pray for my sister.

It is a scary thing. My family always knew someday we would loose her. But after being lucky enough to have her till 9 I think I forgot a bit. And now I'm being faced with the very real possibility of the death of my sister and I can't keep it together.

Please just pray. I'm not even religious. But I'm desperate. I know some day I will loose her but please pray for us. Pray that day isn't soon.
