@kelseys nope. I need a note from my doctor in order to do that. I even had to bring in a confirmation sheet that I'm attending a birthing class on a day I'm supposed to be working

wtf? are you serious?! I know in Illinois we just got a law passed saying that were allowed to have longer break times, if needed and able to sit or have more bathroom breaks and stuff, I would've thought it was like that everywhere.

that's horrible, if you need to take a break to sit and drink water for a second then you should be able too. I have Co workers that are horrible to me especially when they know I'm in pain. and we have a time sheet saying when everyone goes on breaks but they think they're the boss, I leave when it's my time for break from my register, because I'm tired, hungry and have pains so I'm not waiting for anyone to tell me especially if they're not my manager. You should look into that, maybe call corporate and see what pregnant women get while working at that company. because my managers tried screwing me over till I called corporate and asked and then told my managers what they said.

also it could be causing alot of stress for the baby. my manager was having me work 5 days a week and only two days off, but I was working for days in a row before having my day off and my doctor said that it could cause stress on your body and the baby because of standing for so long, and bagging and doing other things in the store.

@kelseys oh geez! I'm going to have to look into something because this is just nuts. my coworkers don't allow me to lift heavy heavy items but everything else I'm supposed to do. we get a half hour lunch and then two fifteen minute breaks depending on your hours for the day. I do think my son is stressed from me standing so long. I lean against the counter when I can but then that's only so high. :/
