Well ladies I went to my 2 week post partum appt yesterday to check my hemoglobin levels, and they checked my blood pressure like they due every visit and it was 180/120. My doctor sent me straight to the ER. Took them 4 hours to get my blood pressure down enough to where they released me. I have to take a daily blood pressure pill and see a cardiologist. I was so scared and nervous, all I wanted was to get home to my baby. I was so miserable there. I had no symptoms of high blood pressure. They gave me 4 doses of 3 different kinda of blood pressure meds to get it down. very scary situation. I'm so glad to be home!

@babydavis915, yeah my doctor said that's why they call it the silent killer. I got to get a blood pressure machine so I can check it a couple times a day.
@lajo I know! knowing that it's fatal and can quite literally come out of nowhere is very scary.

Very scary situation. Glad they sent you straight to the hospital. Hbp can sneak up on you and can be fatal. Hope your symptoms normalize soon!

Normally you don't have any symptoms of high blood pressure. I have to check my blood pressure daily and if I get a high number to call my doctor and head to the hospital.
