anyone had a planned c section before? or have one planned for the beginning of may??

I had a planned c section this past Tuesday

how was it. im so nervous. about the cutting and after. debating to be awake for it or be put under.

I had an emergency c section last year with my daughter in January, I'm due in July with my son and having to have a planned c section. Honestly I personally would rather have the c section then try for vbac just because I know what to expect and well vaginal birth scares me bad!

I have one Friday.. I'm scared too.

I'm getting one in May!!

It wasn't that bad. With my daughter I had an emergency c section and it was scary because everything was so rushed and doctors and nurses are rushing around all around you not telling you much. But on Tuesday with my son, I checked in the hospital at 530, they put me in my own room, explained what they were doing and who would be coming to talk to me etc. everything was calm and explained to me. All the nurses and doctors were calm and friendly and just made it so much more enjoyable and relaxed. Even when I was taken to the operating room, they explained what they were doing, what was being given to me and what it did. And all the staff introduced themselves. During the procedure itself the anesthesiologist was just talking to me about baby and was telling me what they were doing as it was happening but I of course couldn't see anything. It really helped me stay calm throughout it all, I loved it.

vaginal was a scary thought to me too. this is my first baby. c section an vaginal are both scary to me. but he's not turning so I have a planned c section may 7th. I need tips thoughts comments from people with experience cuz the only people I know who's had it done had it awhile ago an don't really remember needed details lol. I'm counting down the days for my baby to be here aswell as being scared for it lol

I know I won't be able to see the thought is what scares me knowing they take stuff out aswell as your baby. an all the blood an sewing u back together.

I had an emergency c section and honestly it wasn't as bad as I thought . The recovery part did take awhile for me . I was in the hospital for four days but I'm doing well now and I'm a month pp.. Good luck

I leave 4 days after aswell, coming home on mother's day. an I hope I won't find it all so bad after I get there. thank you
