Hello everyone I'm new on here. I'm currently 36 weeks and 1 day pregnant. This past Thursday I had a doctor appointment/ ultrasound. Come to find out my blood pressure was extremely high. They admitted me into the hospital because they diagnosed me with preeclampsia. I have to stay until I'm 37 weeks which will be on Sunday. The plan is to get the baby out safely. Depending on how my cervix is will be how I give birth. I want to know has any of u ladies had or have preeclampsia and what should I expect? Please let me know what to expect, and how will they go about this situation?

Mine was 5 years ago! They admitted me after my BP was sky high I was about 35 to 35. 1/2 weeks. They wanted to keep baby in til I was 37 weeks. In my case I was held off til the day I turned 37 weeks then they induced me

I was admitted on April 1st due to pre eclampsia and I was then 25.3wks. I am still currently in the hospital at 29.1wks they have stabilized my BP and I'm hoping I can go home until 34-37wks but we shall see. But for now I have to stay.

@kingryansmom, Preeclampsia is a real serious problem pregnant women get. I don't wanna tell you this but once they diagnosed u with it they can't and will not let you out of their site. All because of what can happen. It will be in their hands and they don't want a lawsuit. Hang in there kiddo u don't have that long to go.

@shadaia_mommy oh yes ma'am I know that's why I'm still here now. But my doctor thinks since I have did a full 360 he can let me go home with home health care agent coming to my house daily.
