So you're looking for a BC that will help your periods? You could probably make an appointment with your doctor for around 3/4weeks pp that's a good medical reason.

no I can't deal with my periods they are so painful for 3 1/2 weeks before and 2 weeks after and about 80 days apart I have to be heavily medicated and I sleep all the time and that wouldn't be good with a young baby @californiahaley

I was given mine as I was getting checked out of the hospital after having my c section, but told not to take it until I'm 3-4 weeks postpartum

I got it at my 6 week check cause my midwife did my two week check and then I went to an OB for my 6 week so I could get birth control. I think the only reason to start sooner is if you're wanting to have sex sooner.
