Just some advice to se of you mamas. Depression is real. It is an illness. If left untreated or you don't address it. It only gets worse. I had it before I was pregnant and it got worse in the past few months I couldn't do anything for myself. Eventually my OB admitted me into psych for a week. Daily meds TV time walking whatever passes the day. I feel better but I had to let it get that far. My advice? Soon as you feel it get help or you will regret it.

How do you know it's depression?? What are the symptoms?? I've been feeling worthless for a few days now and I thought it could be depression but I just don't want to believe it. 😔

For most people it's loss of interest, mood stays down, you can sleep for a long period of time and not feel rested or you can't fall asleep at all. Sometimes it's just best to go to your doctor and let them know and express how your feeling. @nessa524

Thank you! I think I will. So far I've just been praying for strength and think about my son whenever I feel down. It usually helps.

I was just in the hospital for post partum. If you need the help get it! I was there for 3 weeks. I got put on meds. With the right mind set you will get better. It's a daily challenge but if you train your brain to be positive and say it will be okay. You will be okay.

I'm also going to group therapy and a personal therapist that specializes with ppd. It helps a lot to just talk to someone who won't judge you.

@cambrias_mommy, I know exactly what you mean! I have someone assigned to visit me at least once a week with calls and whatnot in between just to have someone to talk to or check up on you makes a HUGE difference!

Yes! It will always be a struggle but the best thing is to keep your mind motivated to do better an you absolutely will! And surround yourself with people who make you happy and support you. Any negativity will make things a bit harder. But even so with the right mind set you will make it through. I've been home from the hospital for about 2-3 weeks and I'm doing a hell of a lot better than I ever was my whole life
