so confused on what's going on. this is my 1st pregnancy. im almost 31weeks. two weeks ago went to er because of pressure pains and turned out i was 1cm dilated but FFN test came back negative so they released me. went to my baby monitoring appt yesterday due to my son has IUGR and needs to be monitored. During the testing i started having contractions so they sent me to the er. the FFN test came back positive but my cervical length was still normal and still dilated with 1cm so they sent me home didn't do anything. went to my ob-gyn today and I'm 1.5cm dilated but doc still didn't do anything so im really confused on what's going on since im still having the pains

I'm confused too same situation I'm 2 cm ffn came back negative they just gave me a shot to stop contractions
@midnightemma91, Her contractions may be closer together so it would be more concerning. Do you know how far apart her contractions are and yours?
its just really confusing cuz my friend is the same amount of weeks as me she's 1cm dilated and her FFN test came back positive but they actually gave her steroids and a time frame
It really just comes down to the dilation and keep monitoring how far apart your contractions are. Time how often they happen.
Could be Braxton hicks contractions? It's your body's way of practicing for the actual labor.
they didnt give me a shot mine was positive yesterday and the contractions didn't stop until 11 last night
