I'm naming my son after my dad, & I got my own mother, telling me I shouldn't but I finally stood up to her & said its my son not hers, she's over it now. & my hubby's sister doesn't like the name we picked, but I don't wanna snap on her and start family drama. You do what you do girl, I bet it's a wonderful name!

It's Emma, which is a common name.

my mother in law always makes a face when we say what were naming a son. she's so rude about it she said she won't call him caiden she call him whatever she wants. 😒

everyone told me my daughters name was ugly (including my boyfriend) until she was born and everyone told me it matched her perfectly (her name is paisley). screw people's thoughts. it's your baby :) ♡

Haha my mother in law said "why did you name her that? You knw we're Mexican right?" (that was about my first). With my second child which is only 7 weeks old, she kept complaining that we weren't naming my daughter after her so she said the name I picked was an ugly and stupid name. I almost slapped the granny outta her! I don't give a fuck though, she's my kid and I'll name her what I want! Now maybe if she was nice about it and asked nicely for us to name our daughter after her then I would've given it some thought but she screwed that up on her own by being rude!

@renaldoswife I don't blame you. It's my child and I will name her what I damn well please, people don't understand the ups and downs of pregnancy hormones or even the little amount of stress can make us snap!! I just don't get why it's just a big deal it's your child and that's the end of it no ifs ands, buts about it if they want to name a child let them go through the ups and downs all over again and remind them that it's our decision.
