We all eat together but the kids get there plates first then anyone after that.

definitely the kids first. but since I don't come home till about 730 at night my husband feeds our daughter dinner first and then we will eat together.

This is a old African/West Indies tradition I'm Jamaican and back home long ago maybe some ppl still do it I'm not sure but men usually gets their meals first never in my family tho we all eat as a family. Which btw is the right way. Some of these traditions needs to be left in the past that's just my opinion. My husband would be mad as hell if I feed him before the kids he wud probably feed them from his plate lol
