Does a membrane sweep hurt? I'm just curious. I'm 38 weeks and just want to know what's next 😩

no problem lol and honestly I'm not completely. my doctor never told me he was doing it. he did exam to see how dilated I was and I told him he was hurting me. he apologized then we started talking my induction date which was a week after but he said he didn't think I would last that long. I went into labor that night. I think they just start to stretch cervix

depends on the doctor. if your cervix checks are rough then it might. mine didn't really hurt but my last doctor was gentle.

Wow, I just really want her to come on her own bc ii don't want to be induced. My last cervix check was kinda painful but like ii said nothing ii couldn't bare, I hope something happens for me. Thankyou for sharing @iloveni0820 and @junebaby I see a group of midwives so I'm pretty sure it depends on which one I'm with that day lol hopefully she will be gentle if that's the way we go ! after the sweep you might dilate quickly on your own so that won't have to induce you @melia91
