My gosh my sister keeps telling me about Castor oil, and how it works has anyone used it?

a lot of mommies on here have used it...

I used it went into labor that night I mixed it in a blender with vanilla ice cream and orange juice google it will give u some recipes

i used it and it cause me to have really painful contraction and i wasnt dilated when i took it...but when i got to the hospital i was dilated to a 3 but it wouldn't dilate me any further so they sent me home in pain 😦

I was dilated to a one this am then doc stretched me to a 2 during the membrane sweep. @smithgirl

it may work for you since you are close...it did make me go to the rr but it wasn't bad and i mixed with oj...i shook it up in a bottle i couldn't even taste it @rykerp15

I used it at 38 weeks I took it the first day and just got some contractions then I took it the next day nothing happened so I gave up. that night I woke up with painful contractions. I went to the hospital and I was dilated to a 4 already so I got admitted! I was not dilated and only 25% effaced. Good luck if you try it!!

worked for me. was 1 1/2 cm that morning (midwife said I was in early labor) that late afternoon took 2 table spoons, went and walked for a couple hours, took 2 more table spoons, walked a bit more, did some squats, took a shower, contractions hit me like bricks and my water broke I want to say maybe 15 minutes after my first contraction! if you try it good luck! just stay hydrated, it didn't happen to me, but it's known to make you #2 like crazy! lol.

Oh and I mixed it with sunny d lol. to me it tasted like melted chapstick.😷

@sgtpeppertheory, I just did 2 table spoons with oj it didn't have a bad taste I just turned up lol!

haha! it just like floated on the top of my sunny d and was so thick and yuck! but good luck! start bouncing on that ball and walking lots! it's tiring but will help a lot! if nothing is really happening in about 2-3 hours take another table spoon or two if you feel comfortable doing so. keep me updated!😊

I did it last week and it cleans your system out big time lol I did It first time ice cream second time grape juice and I was up all night going to the bathroom and nothing happened and I have been 3 cm dilated and 70% effaced since last week. I might try it on friday again and see

I had my bloody show after my membrane sweep this evening @courtney_boyea so hopefully soon
