Has anyone chose to use Paragard as their birth control method? I was thinking about using this but not sure...

I have had the paragard for almost 2 months. I chose the paragard because I didn't want anything with hormones in it.

Has it affected you at all? @prettyyellow did it hurt? Lol the only birth control I've ever had was the pill and I suck at remembering to take it every day...

The first month I had a little spotting, some cramping but that has resolved. Also my first period after getting it was quite heavy. It didn't hurt getting placed in. Other then that it definitely does its job lol . @jamie_renea03

I had the paragard for 2 years I took it out because I was having horrible periods with super heavy bleeding.. Also because I only wanted it until my son turned 2 and then we planned on having another baby. But after I took it Out I had hell trying to get pregnant it took three years for me to get pregnant.. We are now due in August.. @prettyyellow

Oh ok I know that it's different for everyone and so far it's not too bad. I cant handle hormones so the paragard is honestly the best option for me. I've also dealt with a heavy cycles since I was ten so that's really not much of a concern for me. Also in regards to more kids I doubt I'm having anymore I'm about to be 31 and I'm pretty content with two lol. @sharondap2005

Yea that's why I got it because my doctor didn't want me to have anything with hormones in it and it last ten years so that's also a plus.. My sister has it now and she's fine.. All birth control affects everyone different.. I would get that again before I would get the mirina.. I think you will be fine.. @prettyyellow

Yea the Mirena had me all the way messed up I bled for like 5 months straight. Then I developed ovarian cyst. All my issues resolved after I had it removed. But thank you for the advice I do appreciate it, and I hope this thing don't give me no problems 😊! @sharondap2005
