My MIL was adopted and knows nothing about her bio parents, she doesn't want to know anything either.. Is it wrong of me to want her to find out so I can know my sons heritage?

if she doesn't want to know, then that's her choice but maybe ask if she knows names & if she does ask for them & try doing your own research.... just tell her you want them so you can know more about your sons history/background

@parkers_mommy, I definitely want to respect her decision not to know, but at the same time I'm saddened to not know some of what's related to my husband and my son.

Unfortunately, that's all up to her. I would totally want to know if I was in your shoes, but, pushing the subject would be over stepping boundaries. 😔

maybe do research on your own without telling her? I have a cousin that was given up for adoption and my family just recently found her. Not too sure how her adoptive parents felt about it tho.
