Does anyone know if I can wear leggings and a long shirt to a prison visit?? I wore jeans last time…

I Dont think they have a dress code. I'm sure u would be fine!.at least I was never told one when I went lol

As long as they're not see through and can't see your booty. And no cleavage. You should be fine :) no opened toed shoes either like flip flops.

The lady that answered the number was at a different prison than where my boyfriend is & she said that they wouldn't let me into that prison if I was wearing leggings 😢 there was people there in sweatpants and flip flops last week. I just want to be comfortable and not look like a hobo. @valerie_jean

Hmmm that's weird! When I visited my ex boyfriend they wouldn't let me wear flip flops so I had to wear my moms snow boots that were in her trunk (it was summer time...) lmao and made me zip my jacket up all the way to my neck because of cleavage.

maybe it's diff for every prison but I would go visit my brother every weekend and never heard of all these crazy rules lol! I would just to be safe though. wouldn't wanna not be able to go in!!

Maybe I'll stop at Gap or old navy on my way there and buy some maternity pants. Not being able to zip or button your biggest pair of jeans is depressing and not comfortable lol

@kate_magalina, I think you can look up their website and it should tell you on there what you can and can't wear. I did that when I visited my uncle in prison. Surprising they let you wear jeans, we weren't allowed to.

@kate_magalina, Hmm then you should be ok I dnt see why you wouldn't be able to wear them if it isn't stated on their website saying you can't. Have you tried calling them to make sure?

Well I tried to call the number on the website but it's a different prison in Iowa than where he is. The one I called is a maximum security prison and the one he's at is a maximum-medium security so I'm guessing the rules will be very similar. I wore leggings for now, I'm going to change at a gas station when I get to Anamosa. I'll survive 😊
