Has anyone needed a colposcopy? I had one and I'm so nervous to find out the results. Share your experiences please!

I've had two and they just do one as a precaution when you have an abnormal PAP. They're looking for abnormal cells on your cervix and if they see anything, they "scrape" it from your cervix, which usually removes most of it, and send it to the lab for testing. Pretty uncomfortable procedure but not too too bad.

I guess I had low grade lesions and they are checking for high grade. I've had it done but now I'm waiting to see. Did yours come out fine? @arielle

Right, and they'll probably tell you the low grade ones can work themselves out and go away on their own if your immune system fights them off. The high grade ones are the ones they're concerned about because those can be precancerous. But yea mine went fine.

@arielle, I'm so nervous. I was suppose to know today but they rescheduled my appointment with out me knowing. 😒 I'm still so nervous! 😩
