It can be, depends on the person. I was put in at midnight and had the gel put on my cervix and about 15 minutes later I started having contractions on my own, and about a hour later I was having steady contractions, at 6:30 they came in started pitocin and gave me my epidural about 10 minutes later, at about 8:00 they broke my water and I was about 3cm, I went in at 1cm, but 6:00 I was about 8cm, and at about 7:15 I started pushing until I had her at 10:23. It's gonna be long process whether it's natural or induced, labor, usually, takes time and with induction you spend the whole thing in the hospital opose to being at home with the natural.
I was 37 weeks when I got induced with my son. My induction process went super fast. I was told to go straight to the hospital after a doctors appt I had. I got to the hospital at about 5pm...the nurse started me on pitocin and the doctor broke my water after an hour of me being there. I was already 2cm when I got to the hospital. I had my son at 10:15pm that night...I only pushed twice. Everyone has a different experience hopefully yours goes quick too!
well I've heard pitocin really helps but its slow til then. and depending on the baby it still can be slow. maybe I'll be lucky. he already feels like he wants out. and everyone keeps saying I'll be lucky to make it til then
my friend got induced last Tuesday at 10pm had her baby Wednesday at 9:30 pm. my sister in law got induced one morning at 8 am and had him that night at 7 pm. I hope mines quick lol
mine wasnt too bad i was in labor for 16 hours thats including pushing. i started at 2 pm on sunday and had my baby at 5:54 am on monday. i think its different for everyone. just a warning contractions really suck as bad as you think they will! lol but its all so worth it.
mine was fast I got there at 8am and at about 9 they insterted the pill btw I was only like 1cm and soft but after that they were going to do pitocin but my body worked just from the pill she was born at 5pm
