I was gonna hyphenated it but that's seems a little too much (I don't wanna b left out, neither does my bf)
I love my bf, nd he's always gonna b my baby's father even if we don't last but wouldn't it b easier to do this like school registration nd medical stuff if we had the same last name... or it really doesn't matter?

it doesn't really matter my first had my moms maiden last name im sure its the same as having the same last name

I agree with @january10th I don't think it will matter either. Usually if they need proof of anything they will ask for birth certificate

It is a tough decision because that name will be with him forever and U will also always hear it BUT he is from his family after all, he should know his roots no matter if u guys are together or not or even if the father is bad. It is what it is. I remember wanting to give my son my last name but I thought about it and left it because of that reason.. :/ whatever u decide. Do what makes u happy

It really doesn't matter. My oldest has his fathers last name... Initially people would assume mine was the same and I would politely correct them and it stopped. No one ever questioned me at school, dr offices or any place like that.. Also, I grew up with my name hyphenated.... It was irritating to me because people for some unknown reason wanted to know why...

i got my babys name hyphenated. (my last name n hyphenated w her dads last name) its not too bad,
she can choose which one to use lol

it doesn't make any difference. my mom doesn't have my last name, she didn't at all while I was in school & never had a problem.
