tomorrow i will be getting the depo shot (birth control) , how did it work for y'all ?

@021715, i love the depo! I was on it for 15 years before getting pregnant. I never had a period or a pregnancy scare while on it. I've heard some women gain weight on it, but I never did. As soon as I have my baby girl I'll be getting back on it.

@caracross1, did you bleed after getting it.. I got it and have bleed for almost a while month

@heather_95, no I didn't at all. But a friend of mine did, and she had heavier periods with it too. I Guess it affects everybody different unfortunately.

i never had a period with it but i gained 50pds in 3months. my sister gained as well but not as much. works different for everyone i suppose

I gained about 30lbs

My friend got it and she gained a lot of weight and had really heavy periods.

i hated it i got my period for 9 months strait never stopped bleeding i had to switch birth contrals before i finally stopped bleeding

My sister gained about 27 lbs she just started it 3 months ago and has had a period for over a month so far and is still on it?

But it I worth a try to see how you do because it would be great to not have a period ever lol
