I guess this is a little bit of a vent. My husband is military and I absolutely love him and adore what he does. I just feel so isolated lately. We have been married for almost 9 months and I haven't had the chance to be around a lot of other moms. Back home I had a job, social life and my family. Here I just get phone calls. I wouldn't change being with him for the world, even if that means being a little Lonley. A girls day out just sounds exciting. Now that we're expecting, over half my friends do not even associate with me anymore. 😐 what I wouldn't do for some girl fun.

@spud, I tried waiting for FRG meeting and such. But unfortunately the post my husband is stationed, they don't have a lot of family meetings. They do not even have on post housing, which is something I look forward to. I know a few girls told me it's easier to become acquainted with other wives that way.

I'm not sure about that of course my bf and I are national guard but he was active duty for two years sometime before we met and his ex found some support

I'll Deff try and look into it. My hub is old guard and unfortunately because they really don't ever deploy there doesn't seem to be as many support groups in the area.

@knappmom, a friend of mine is also an old guard. he was in our wedding.
