Rant: my boyfriend will be in prison when I have our daughter. He didn't care to help out with anything before he went & now he thinks that I'm in the wrong for saying I'm going to file for child support once she's here. Im living at my parents house because he chose to keep the $63,000 truck he bought almost 3 months before he went to prison and he decided to "rent out" our house (no one even lives in it yet). I quit my job because I was spending over $80/week in gas driving from my parents to the bank & back... I start my new job on Monday; it's part time, I don't receive benefits and I took a pay cut but it's less than 5 minutes away! I'm doing everything I can for me and my daughter. And MY family helps me as much as they can (his hasn't helped at all, they don't even ask how the baby and I are doing). Am I honestly in the wrong for saying I need child support & help from him??

Nope you are not wrong! Do what you have to do to get help and to support your daughter! No men likes child support so they are always going to be against it rather it is for a good reason or not.

@zenmom7, thank you. I'm just so upset right now. I want her to have her mommy and daddy together but he acts like I made her by myself & that he shouldn't have to help out with her until he's out of prison.

He has money in his accounts that they'll take for the baby it'll only be like $10 a month while he's in there but he'll owe back child support when he gets out @augustmom3
