It didn't work for me but I heard that u in order for it to work you have to be already dilating

thats not true i took it and it worked great and i wasnt dilated or effaced

I heard that it also can stress out the baby and cause then to poop in the womb. if they do that they could inhale it and get an infection

im not saying don't do it or that it happens to everybody but it's nice to know the facts. that it could happen. I was going to try it but I got induced for blood pressure
