@kimmygarrett85, I had the same problem. We invited about 25 people and only 5 showed up. But the gift thing wouldn't bug me as long as she truly didn't have the money. But if she just wanted to stuff her face then no that's not okay.

well I ordered 9 foot sandwich subway and everyone who showed I told them take everything g and anything. I just think it's rude. Don't say ur gonna come to not hurt my feelings....it is what it is. smh @palmerwifey

@jackiemommyof2, I would never show without a gift that's the whole purpose of a baby shower to help out and support. People are a trip. But the people I didn't expect to come. came. And brought great gifts I am truly appreciative for it all too. Recieved great stufg

@kimmygarrett85, I would never either because I was kinda taught you don't go unless you have a gift. And she was definitely in the wrong there. She could of at least bought some socks or something small.

yes I hate that too... I invited a whole shyt load of people too... but I know alotta people like to say they coming or they want an invite && something happens... but I still had a good amount of people that came..

@sexii_diiva, yep! My best friend blew me off to go take pictures with her other friend and lied and said she was sick. All that showed up was family. This time around we only inviting 1 friend. And the rest are family and people from our church.

@jackiemommyof2, messed up. see I have no family I come from like a real small family. only daughter of 4 kids and only have 2 uncles dad's side. ones gay other one is steral. my and my 3 brothers are the only niece nephew and cousins and grandchildren. and my brothers are grown men with no kids. I depended on my close friends and my hubby's side of the family. but never again.

@kimmygarrett85, I'd definitely be pissed then. If you ever have another Id definitely not invite the people who didn't show up! I have very little friends. I have a pretty big family on my Mom's side. And the older women at my church are baby crazy so the spoil any baby who comes around. lol

when things like that happen I feel you learn who your real friends are. if you were a good friend and didn't show up && didn't have a valid reason I cut you out the picture or handle you with a long handled spoon. I really take that stuff to heart just because I always show up to everyone event,!

@kimmygarrett85, My family hasn't done much spoiling since this is my second. But it's my fiancées first and his family went overboard. lol
