does anybody have the mirena iud? how long after inserted does it become effective?

@juliagail09, @junebaby , i got it inserted on monday and my doctor told me i would spot and when i stopped bleeding i could have sex and I did last night but I'm still not sure how effective an iud is so I took a plan b pill. really not tryna get pregnant again Lol

lol no you should be good. i took the plan b too...i didnt wait the full six weeks to have sex..i gabe in the day before my appointment 😒 and then i freaked out and went and got the plan b.

Lol ok...I didn't have sex at all and my son is 9 weeks old now been a long two months Lol I didn't wanna have sex til I got my iud @juliagail09

i didnt want too but i gave in. lol that is a long time. but better to be safe then get pregnant real quick after just having a baby. lol
