Had my last OB appointment yesterday. Discussed the plans for Tuesday and went over any concerns I have for me and Kennedy. I'm kinda worried about Kennedy... Having GD scares me for delivery day. I don't want her to go to the NICU, but I'm already preparing myself because her blood sugar could drop. With her being on the "bigger" side, she could have some problems with that also. I guess reality is setting in that its 3 days away and I'm starting to get nervous.

Kennedy will do fine. you'll have Dr's and nurses there to monitor. just be glad you're ahead of the game.

@jomommaclark, that's true. I'd hate to have it happen and not be prepared for it.

They will monitor y poo u r blood sugars very often while there to make sure they are just right and your baby should be just fine. the reason baby's blood sugar drops after birth is if your sugar is high it goes to the baby and they produce extra insulin...after the cord is cut that sugar supply is gone and their insulin is still producing which results in low blood sugar for the baby. the drs and nurses will monitor both you and the baby very close. I'm diabetic and a little worried myself...they plan on inducing me at 39 weeks.
