Any other mamas out there been diagnosed with placenta previa? I just got the call from my doctor this afternoon. It's a complete blockage and I was told I need to take it very easy, no sexual/physical activity, and to avoid lifting over 20 lbs. My 9 month old daughter is 25 lbs. I'm freaking out a little bit. Of course she said that most of the time the placenta moves on its own, but she gave me all the worst case scenarios. And I can't stop thinking of all the negatives. I'm scared for myself, my baby boy, and my girls. Don't want anything bad to happen.....any tips or ways to help ease my mind?

yes with my last baby but it moved out of the way.

yes I did exactly at 18 weeks as well, they made me SO SCARED but it moved up by 27 weeks. no sex, no heavy lifting do all that and u gonna be just fine don't worry think positive

@schevanya, did you do anything specific? They told me to take it easy and rest as much as I could. And hopefully it will move on its own so we don't have to worry about stitching up my cervix or bedrest or premature labor

no I did nothing different, I still worked my whole pregnancy (babysitting), but no sex at all nothing in the vagina, and very careful with heavyweight.. i know its hard but try not to pick ur baby up too much

This is all so scary to me. Especially since my pregnancies with the girls had no complications....
